Happenings at the Banke

Hello all! This weekend will be an exciting one at Strawbery Banke. The 5th New Hampshire Civil War reenacting group will be here for an event this weekend.  Setting up an encampment Friday night, the encampment will be open to the public 9-5 on Saturday and Sunday.  This reenactment will be portraying a recruitment camp in the summer of 1862 after the 5th NH took major casualties at Fair Oaks and Colonel Cross.  Sunday at 11:00am will be the reenactment of an authentic court martial of a soldier trying to steal hardtack.
